Located east of downtown Houston and south of Interstate 10, Hunter's Creek Village is one of the suburban communities which make up the “Memorial Villages”. Those familiar with the area recognize the sign with a silhouette of a hunter and his dog that marks the entryways to Hunters Creek Village. There’s no doubt that this is a special place which occupies approximately 2 square miles just outside of Loop 610.

	Earlier in the area's history, German farmers settled in the vicinity and established sawmills to cut local timber. Today, large tracts of what was once farm land have been divided to single family residential home sites on beautiful wooded lots of ½ acre and more (smaller lots have been grandfathered). This highly desirable area is experiencing a burst of new home construction as older homes are being torn down to yield large, beautiful modern residences.
	Residents enjoy law enforcement and fire protection from the Memorial Villages Police and the Village Fire Department and have their own
city government. Families often choose Hunters Creek Village because of the highly rated Spring Branch public schools.This area also is home to Duchesne Academy, one of Houston's finest private schools. People who want a small town fell but with an elegant atmosphere and who do not want to live far out in the country, choose to live in the City of Hunters Creek Village.
